Our Vision
Our vision is to create community housing that also lives as a cultural centre — a place where people from across Australia, and visitors from around the world, can come to experience the stories, knowledge, and traditions that First Nations communities choose to share. A place of connection Of listening Of learning

Beyond housing, we aim to create new opportunities for the community — sharing skills, creating jobs, and introducing sustainable building technologies. The centre itself will be built using environmentally responsible methods, with walls 3D-printed from local soil

This project is our way of giving back
As architects who found a new home in Australia, we wanted to contribute the only thing we truly own — our skills, our knowledge, and our work — in gratitude for the support and belonging we received here
Each home is entered barefoot — through water — before reaching your own private space

Our idea is for the entire centre to become a living story
Its walls painted with Aboriginal artworks and murals that carry history, culture, and meaning. Visitors will be able to explore the space through their smartphones, receiving guided tours in their own language — an immersive experience that helps them connect more deeply with First Nations culture

Our Story
We are a couple of Ukrainian architects who were forced to leave our home because of the war, and somehow found a new one in Australia. We are deeply grateful to every member of Australian society, to its government, and especially to the First Nations peoples — the original inhabitants and custodians of this land. When we first arrived, we knew almost nothing about the First Nations or their culture. One day, when our mothers finally came to visit us — our first reunion since the war began — Peter’s mum wanted to take a photo in the park with a group of Aboriginal people. At first, a man you see in the photo approached us carefully, wanting to understand whether we came with good intentions. But what we experienced from him was genuine warmth and care. When he agreed to the photo, called everyone together, and welcomed us so openly, I felt something unforgettable — a simple, powerful human kindness that stayed with me. The love in this man’s heart inspired us to make this project.
